In practice, KAIPUU promotes local employment by hiring 70% of its workforce locally and sourcing over 80% of ingredients from the region, thereby reducing carbon emissions from air‑freighted imports while supporting local agriculture. Guestroom consumables are made from ocean‑degradable or recyclable materials, helping to protect the natural environment and ecosystems.

To improve energy efficiency, KAIPUU employs solar panels and energy‑saving installations, such as LED lighting systems and optimised heating, to reduce electricity consumption and dependence on non‑renewable energy. Guests are encouraged to set air conditioning and shower temperatures at moderate levels to lower emissions and save energy.
